Our food is rustic, seasonal and delicious. At Sociale, we work to capture the spirit of Northern Italian food. We love to serve a hearty braise, rich stuffed pastas, simple starters, and rustic entrees.
Some of our dishes are always on the menu, like the Duck Pappardelle, Game Hen and Pici Bolognese, but we also change the menu monthly to bring a variety of options to our neighborhood guests. California is home to so many wonderful farms & wholesale companies that provide us with seasonal produce, responsibly farmed meats and local seafoods. We do our best to serve these products whenever possible.
We love wine. We taste. We drink. We taste some more. We believe that wine is a serious matter, to be taken lightly. Our wine list is updated weekly as we are always tasting, exploring and adding to our selection of unique, interesting, food friendly wines.
Our list is honed to the most expressive and delightful bottles. We have relationships with small-scale production, well-respected, highly sought after wineries and estates primarily from Northern Italy. Special wineries. Whether it’s a bright, earthy, local Pinot Noir or a robustly elegant 1978 Barolo for a remarkable evening, we’ve got you covered. And we hope to introduce you to new favorites.
Since 2003 Tia has been Executive Chef at Sociale working to expand her expertise as a food professional in San Francisco. In 2007 Tia Harrison co-founded Avedano’s; the first US women-owned and run butcher shop.

Julio Mis has been an integral part of Sociale Restaurant since it's inception almost 17 years ago. Originally from Xul, Yucatan, Julio brings his passion for the culinary arts to San Francisco.
Since 2007, Julio has been butchering at Avedano's Meats located in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. He enjoys hand cutting the pork we serve, provided by Rancho Llano Seco, and uses every piece of the animal to create our weekly specials.
